Not only the Cast programme of the Zurich University of the Art’s Design Department is visiting Miami this week, also a team from the Interaction Design programme is here to impress Miami’s design aficionados. The Head of IAD, Gerhard M. Buurman, took some time to explain us what this extraordinary machine is about. It’s a ten finger multitouch system, on which you can browse through the enormous poster collection of the Zurich University of the Art’s Museum. There are over 20′000 political, commercial, artistic and design posters that have been collected since the Museum’s founding year in 1875. These can be searched and assembled to individual collections - or personal exhibitions on the two screens above the multitouch screen.
