CAST, a new Programme at the Zurich University of The Arts, has travelled to „Design Miami“. During one week, students of the 3rd Semester were reporting from one of the the most important art exhibitions of the year. They were streaming live and broadcasting content to the web and for the iPhone. Some of the best designers from all over the world were interviewed on their work, their ideas and their future plans.
The handling of video and audio technique seemed to be a natural thing, not only for the students - almost anybody we met was used to handling cameras and microphones.
The complex editing of the reports was done by the students themselves. Alltogether, there were 15 people working on the project.
When there was spare time, parties gave a short impression of the high-life of the VIPs and those who think to be one. Anyway: to fly at higher game, Miami is definitely worth a trip.
